Sewer and Drain Cleaning
The simple buildup of dirt, debris and mineral deposits is the most common cause of sewer drain blockages. If you work in a restaurant or food processing facility, you know that grease and other organic matter can accumulate in pipes and drain lines very quickly. So what are you supposed to do when a buildups occurs? Call Roto-Rooter. We have been cleaning sewers and drains for over 80 years, since 1935. No job is too big or too small, and―trust us―we’ve seen it all!
Trenchless Pipe Repair
Over time, pipes often crack, corrode, and misalign, creating access for tree roots and other objects to enter the lines. The consequence of this can be blockages and the interruption of waste water flow from your home or business to the municipal lines. In some cases, it can lead to sewage overflows, which can be a disaster. Roto-Rooter offers “trenchless” methods to replace cracked, damaged and leaking pipes without any digging, so that the disruption to people and property are minimal.
Pipe relining repairs damaged sewer pipes without digging up the surrounding area. During the process, the pipe is repaired by lining it with a new, “pipe-within-a-pipe.” The existing pipe is cleaned and then lined with a felt liner that has been pre-cut and measured. The pre-cut liner is saturated in resins, inserted into the damaged pipe and inflated. It is then cured to harden, taking the shape of the host pipe. The result is 100% restoration of pipe function and flow in less time, money and interruption than traditional dig and replace methods.
Similar to pipe relining, pipe bursting requires only two small access holes and is especially useful when you want to replace a damaged pipe with one of equal (or even larger) size, or if the existing pipe is out of capacity. This cost-effective method can be used advantageously to reduce damage to pavements, parking lots and building structures, while minimizing disruption overall.
Roto-Rooter’s highly trained technicians provide comprehensive assessments and recommendations using specially designed, self-propelled video cameras to visually inspect sewer lines from two to 36 inches in diameter. Our high-resolution cameras record grease buildup, leaks, broken pipe and obstructions, such as roots. The video inspection allows us to locate the line, identify the compromise and determine the best course of rehabilitation or repair for each unique job.
High Pressure Jetting
Roto-Rooter is able to safely and effectively clean even the most highly obstructed pipes, using our state-of-the-art water jetting equipment. First, under tremendous pressure, a hose is propelled by water into the sewer line. Next, the line is cleaned by powerful forward and reverse jets of water. The jets wash the scale, silt, sand, grease and other materials back to the manhole. At this point, the debris is responsibly removed from the line, decreasing the chance of future blockages.
Leak Detection and Line Locating
Can’t pinpoint the source of your water leak? No matter where it is, in a mainline, an irrigation leak or someplace in-between, Roto-Rooter’s highly trained and experienced technicians will locate it. Using our technical expertise and cutting edge equipment, Roto-Rooter will quickly find the source of the leak and take action to decrease both the cost and waste of water loss. In order to prevent damage or injury from occurring, Roto-Rooter can also help you to locate telecommunication, natural gas, fiber optics, television, and other utility lines before digging.
Grease Trap Pumping
Restaurants and businesses involved in food service and food waste handling know very well that grease traps must be regularly cleaned to keep things running without odor or back-up. Animal fats and vegetable oils in particular can block the kitchen plumbing system before they reach sanitary sewer lines. Roto-Rooter can be relied upon to professionally vacuum, pump and haul waste from septic tanks, grease traps, catch basins and other liquid waste receptacles, such as car wash pumps. We provide safe and legal waste disposal, and we make sure to put our environment first.
Backflow Testing and Repair
What is backflow? It is the reverse flow of dirty water through clean water lines. This dirty water can be contaminated with feces, pesticides, chemicals, fertilizer or other materials. Most commercial properties must have their backflow meters tested and certified every year as required by law. Roto-Rooter technicians are trained to perform annual backflow testing and certification, repairs, and installation of all types of prevention devices. We handle all of the necessary paperwork relating to your annual inspection and will notify you when your next annual backflow testing is due so you can keep your property in good standing with the local water authority. A Roto-Rooter backflow expert can also check your plumbing system to ensure that your property is equipped with the proper backflow device or devices.
